    3 Women Steal Men’s Clothing From Melville Dick’s Sporting Goods: SCPD

    MELVILLE, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s help in finding the three women who police said stole clothing from a Melville store in May.

    Three women stole around $1,150 worth of men’s clothing from Dick’s Sporting Goods, at 870 Walt Whitman Road, around 4:10 p.m. May 7, police said. They are wanted for grand larceny.

    Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or online at www.P3Tips.com. A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.

    Fashion Fest to Raise Funds for Women’s Coalition

    The Crucian Fashion Fest is scheduled on Sunday at the St. Croix Castle to raise funds for the Women’s Coalition of St. Croix.

    The fashion show will feature jewelry, apparel, accessories and other designs from 15 women-owned boutiques and designers. Models wearing classic as well as trendy designs will strut through the iconic landmark with 360-degree hilltop views while guests nibble appetizers and sip wine and drinks.

    At the end of the fashion parade, one woman’s ensemble and one man’s outfit will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. In the past, donors have purchased the outfits as special gifts for wives and children.

    BACK IN 2021, something mysterious began to emerge in the far corners of social media. TikTok for you pages once peppered with images of pared-back ‘clean girl’ influencers and modern pop culture figures became permeated by Paris Hilton, plastic and lots of pink.

    Local business Total Uniforms donates winter jackets to Chrysalis House Women’s Refuge at Desert Blue Connect

    A Geraldton business has donated boxes of high-quality jackets to a women’s refuge for people in need of warm clothing during winter.

    It’s a kind donation that Total Uniforms has made to Chrysalis House Women’s Refuge for the second year in a row.

    The refuge is a support service for women and children escaping family violence in need of safe place to go, and offers supported accommodation facilitated through Desert Blue Connect.

    Total Uniforms plans to continue its yearly donation for years to come.

    Chrysalis House Women’s Refuge manager Meegan Taylor said the donation included two large boxes of brand new, high-quality warm jackets to give to clients, and the donation would go a long way for someone in need.

    Construction worker calls out the shallow pockets on her workwear pants in comparison to men’s

    A woman who works in construction shared her disappointment with the size and depth of the pockets on her workwear in comparison to her male counterparts, noting it’s a constant reminder that she works in a male-dominated field.

    TikToker @technicallyatech created the video in response to another user, Morgan, who goes by the username @almostcaptainmorgan, who asked women that work in male-dominated fields to share examples of their “daily reminders that things aren’t quite made for you”.
