    Montee Tayion Holland partners with Macy’s for men’s suits


    Fashion designer Montee Tayion Holland is adding his Detroit roots to men’s suits. This year, his Tayion collection was presented in stores across the country to introduce the brand and engage with customers. His latest trunk show was held at Macy’s at Somerset Mall location in Detroit.

    Holland spoke to rolling out about his design and distribution process.

    Looking back, did you ever believe your brand would be available in multiple Macy’s locations around the country?

    Did I ever believe it? Yes, I believed it because the man upstairs showed me that it was possible.     As master of ceremonies, Mark Romig opened the program for the recent Prix d’Elegance luncheon at the New Orleans Hilton Hotel, which honors Men of Fashion and Women of Fashion. They are chaired respectively by Leon L. Giorgio Jr. and Tiffa Boutte with Sandra Stage Chaisson as the Women president. Proceeds of the popular event go to The New Orleans Ballet Association (NOBA) and the Ballet Resource And Volunteer Organization (BRAVO). In memorium were George Raymond Seamon Jr., former Men of Fashion president, and Dr. Aysen Kutalp Young, Women of Fashion’s founding president. Several of her select wardrobe pieces were on display.

    CEO Casey Jostine gives men fashion tips for spring

    Casey Jostine has melded the world of technology and fashion with his brand, <dresscode/>. The director of operations at RenderATL, Jostine recently spoke to rolling out about tips for attire as we go into warmer temperatures.

    Where did the idea of <dresscode/> come from?

    <dresscode/> is the merge of fashion and tech. I’m a product manager here at Microsoft, but I also love fashion. So I decided to figure out a way to merge these two worlds and these two passions together, and that’s how I created <dresscode/>. So <dresscode/> is a tech-inspired clothing brand that merges those two worlds but also it’s the premise of being able to diversify the technical pool that we see as far as advocates in the tech industry.

    4 men arrested in Kauai jewelry scam

    Kauai police arrested four men in a connection with a jewelry scam.

    Police arrested the individuals, ages 24, 29, 32 and 37, Tuesday on suspicion of second-degree theft. All were released pending further investigation.

    According to a preliminary investigation, Kauai police received several reports earlier this week of individuals approaching people in public places and at residences, asking them if they would like to purchase jewelry that appears authentic.

    The suspects reportedly told victims they were visitors selling jewelry and need money because they either lost their wallet or their identification cards were stolen.

    The victims reported the scam to police after they discovered the pieces they purchased were fake.

    Officers located a vehicle linked to the four suspects at a hotel in Kapaa after a witness identified a license plate.
