Growing up in Orange County in the late 1970s, KL DeHart often wandered the Westminster Mall with her mother, checking out the latest fashions and seeing what movies were playing.
As a teenager, she spent many weekends there with friends playing pinball and skeeball at the arcade and shopping for trendy Chemin De Fer jeans.
Now, the mall is pocked with empty storefronts. At the remaining businesses, employees eagerly jump to help the few customers passing through.
What may rise in its place, if developers and city officials have their way, is a new kind of mall, one that will include lawns, walking trails and thousands of apartments.
The 2023 awards season came to an end with Sunday night’s Oscars, with the awards show delivering several standout men’s fashion looks in line with what spectators have been seeing over the last few months.
Austin Butler, Paul Mescal, Michael B. Jordan and others came together in Los Angeles Sunday night in an array of high-fashion looks from design houses like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Saint Laurent, Fendi and others.

This was seen on actor Seth Rogen, who has become known for his bold, casual-meets-high-fashion style. Rogen attended the Oscars in a Brioni white tuxedo jacket paired with dark gray trousers and a matching bow tie.
The Guess brand has been known for all things denim ever since the early ’80s when four brothers from the south of France landed in Los Angeles and started their own blue jeans label.
Over the next 50 years, the company has morphed into a $2.6 billion publicly traded venture, with the Marciano family still a major shareholder and some members continuing as part of the operation. Now, the next generation is putting its own mark on the fashion industry.

Longtime menswear fashion designer John Varvatos is reinventing himself with his eight-month-old brand OTD, a unisex clothing line with stores in New York and Los Angeles.
“When I started this, it was about a new story,” Varvatos tells The Hollywood Reporter about the beginnings of OTD. “I really felt like I had a new story. I wanted to reinvent myself. It was that moment during COVID that I had this kind of lightning bolt. I had this story that I’ve been playing around with, which is what this brand is.”
