    The Milan Fashion Week has been hosting some of the fashion industry’s biggest names – Gucci, Versace, Fendi, Prada, Hugo Boss and Ferragamo – for decades. Moreover, with Sabato De Sarno’s first collection for Gucci marking the biggest debut of the season, the excitement for the Milan Fashion Week 2024 was at an all-time high.

    On September 22, De Sarno showcased his first-ever collection for the prestigious Italian fashion house, bringing back the original minimalistic Gucci essence. Similarly, Bally’s creative director Simone Belloti also showcased her inaugural collection that screamed timeless silhouettes. Not to be outdone, Versace hosted a co-ed show with Donatella Versace, curating stylish offerings for the next summer season featuring signature baroque and Medusa prints, sequins and patterned accessories.

    I Put Men’s Ballet Flats to the Test During Fashion Week

    You can almost always hear me coming from just about any direction—mostly because I’m clomping my way through life in extra-chunky shoes.     Menswear has made women feel confident for centuries, but will the gendered separation ever cease to exist?

    I remember the day I realised the embodiment of my persona was a long-sleeve ironed shirt with only the collar close-lipped. Initially, I gravitated toward the crisp button-down for function, as my former workplace tended to emit heaps of chilly air, but a spontaneous feeling compelled me to button the top, leaving the rest of the shirt open.

    It may have been, in part, my obsession with wanting to define my look outside of popular construction or how this new silhouette framed my figure. Regardless, the androgynous piece of clothing left me feeling more confident than ever before. A clothing rack full of these formal tops sits perpendicular to my bed now, and I wear them strategically closed with almost every outfit. I couldn’t tell you exactly what it is about them that makes me feel alluring and powerful, but my style hasn’t been the same since.

    Pharrell fuses entertainment and fashion for confident Louis Vuitton menswear debut

    PARIS — Unveiling a new chapter in its illustrious history, Louis Vuitton made an indelible mark on Paris Fashion Week’s men’s shows as they premiered the debut collection by musician-turned-designer Pharrell Williams.

    Appointed in February to fill the immense shoes left by the death of Virgil Abloh, Williams unveiled his design prowess to the fashion world with a show that exuded confidence.

    The breathtaking venue for this sartorial spectacle was Paris’ iconic Pont Neuf. The historic bridge, typically resplendent with time-worn stone, was transformed into a golden runway — a dramatic stage set against the backdrop of the shimmering Seine and under the starlit Parisian sky.

    Five Menswear Insiders on Fashion Week ’Fits and “Street Style Dressing”

    How do you generally approach putting together an outfit, and does that change at all during fashion week?

    For me it’s important to be as authentic as possible, which is why my style, whilst constantly evolving, has fundamentally remained unchanged for the best part of a decade. The foundations of my own personal style lay within three distinct groups: cut, color, and texture. I gravitate towards one core color, or tonal variants thereof, whilst simultaneously mixing in subtle textural elements to add richness and depth.

    The cut should first and foremost be complementary to my body shape, and secondly it should be dynamic in design terms. I tend to lean toward either sharp structured garments or louche voluminous ones. At times I interchange the two to play with proportion.
