It has taken a while, but the Prince Edward District Women’s Institute (W.I.) was finally able to celebrate the 39th anniversary of its annual Art & Craft sale on July 28.
Cancelled the last two years because of COVID-19 restrictions, organizers were thrilled to be able to finally stage the popular-one-day event at the grounds of the Prince Edward Community Centre.
“In 2020 the County had closed all their facilities and last year we didn’t even attempt to stage it,” said District president and Art & Craft committee chairperson, Wilma de Wolde. “We started planning early this year and we’re all excited to finally be able to get going again. The sale is so important for us – we need the proceeds to allow us to continue supporting our community.”
Proceeds this year will be targeted for a number of local initiatives, including ongoing support of
