    Kimora Lee Simmons cheers on lookalike daughter Aoki walking in fashion show

    Sergio Hudson’s runway had onlookers doing a double take.

    Model, businesswoman and fashion designer Kimora Lee Simmons snapped photos with her phone and cheered on daughter Aoki Lee Simmons from the front row as her lookalike model offspring strutted down the catwalk at Hudson’s New York Fashion Week show on Feb 11.

    Aoki, 20, hit the runway twice during the show at Spring Studios in Manhattan, sporting a strong-shouldered black miniskirt suit with a purple statement belt and matching trim plus zippered pocket detailing, tights and sky-high heels.

    Her second look, which she modelled as Megan Thee Stallion’s Her blasted from the speakers, was a charcoal denim ensemble with a long-sleeve button-front top and shorts, paired with a black belt and patent black platform heels.

    Opinion | Sinead O’Dwyer’s show at London Fashion Week shows that diversity in high fashion is important

    As London Fashion Week came to an end, one show had people talking — Sinéad O’Dwyer’s. 

    The show was incredibly diverse, featuring models of all sizes and races — something underrepresented in luxury fashion. There was even a model who went down the catwalk in a wheelchair. It’s the first time I’ve ever seen models size 14 and up showcased, and I’ve watched a lot of shows. Needless to say, it sparked a lot of conversation — good and bad. 

    British Vogue posted clips of the show on their TikTok, which received mixed reactions in the comment section. Beauty news outlets such as Glamour UK loved O’Dwyer’s idea, but some of their followers and people in their comments did not.

    Armani gives graceful close to Milan Fashion Week

    MILAN (AP) — It was nipples out on the Milan Fashion Week runway this season, one of the clear trends emerging from a week of previews of mostly womenswear collections for next fall and winter.

    Wherever there is a trend, there is always the counter-current, and holding out for what he described as “the dignity of women” was Giorgio Armani. Where sheer fabrics were employed in his collection, it was with modesty.

    NEW YORK CITY (WABC) — What we know and love as “Fashion Week” now actually lasts a full month, because four cities host a series of exclusive events between January and February.

    This week iconic brands were in Milan, and next week they’ll go on to Paris.

    Tanzanian Fashion Designer Accuses Fmr. Biden Govt Official Of Stealing Her Luggage And Wearing Her Clothes | News

    Samuel Brinton, a former Biden administration senior Department of Energy official, has been accused of luggage theft by a Tanzanian fashion designer.

    Brinton is facing charges for alleged airport baggage theft following reports that he is in the habit of stealing women’s luggage at airports to take their clothes, which he proceeds to wear to public events.

    Brinton, who is non-binary, was released from a Minnesota facility Wednesday, Feb. 22, without bail.

    After Fox News reported about Brinton’s luggage charge, Asya Khamsin, a Tanzanian fashion designer, searched for him and saw Brinton wearing the custom-made clothes that she had reported missing from a Washington, DC, airport in 2018.

    Camilla’s picks Diana’s ‘favourite’ fashion designer for coronation gown

    Queen Consort Camilla’s coronation dress will reportedly be stitched by Princess Diana’s favourite celebrity fashion designer.

    The 75 year old has apparently picked her long-time fashion collaborator Bruce Oldfield, 72, to make the gown for the ceremony, which will see her wear his creation when she is crowned at London’s Westminster Abbey on May 6 alongside her 74-year-old husband King Charles, who divorced Diana in 1996 before he married Camilla in 2005.

    “Camilla trusts Bruce because he has really delivered on dresses for so many important occasions recently for her.”

    The newspaper said Bruce refused to confirm or deny the report, and responded to its queries by asking: “What can I say?”

    A chance meeting with Princess Di led to Bruce’s decade-long bond and he described her as the “perfect client.”

    Vietnamese designer to debut collection at Paris Fashion Week | DTiNews
    Vietnamese designer Tran Phuong Hoa is set to present her wedding dress collection on March 4 during Paris Fashion Week.

    Hoa will be the only Vietnamese ready-to-wear clothing designer attending the prestigious fashion event this year.

    At present, she is busy completing her 15 designs using traditional natural materials of Vietnam Lanh My A, a delicate cloth woven from the finest silk fibres produced in Tan Chau Silk Village in the southern province of An Giang.

    The 31-year-old designer is residing in Ha Tinh province and graduated from National Economics University in Hanoi. She now mostly lives and works in Ho Chi Minh City.

    She built the wedding dress brand Eleven S, which has proved to be a favourite among many Vietnamese artists and celebrities.

    Fashion Designer Claims Biden Official Wore Her Clothes after Suitcase Went Missing from Airport

    A fashion designer based in Houston claimed in a viral tweet that former Biden administration official Sam Brinton wore custom-made clothes she reported missing in 2018.

    Brinton, who identifies as “non-binary” and uses they/them pronouns, worked as deputy assistant secretary for the Office of Nuclear Energy before being sacked after two separate charges of airport luggage theft.

    The Biden administration and sympathetic media outlets had previously celebrated Brinton’s appointment as the first gender-fluid senior government official.

    Asya Khamsin, who identified herself as a Tanzanian fashion designer, said that she had lost her bag in 2018 at Ronald Reagan National Airport.

    After hearing the news of Brinton’s other luggage-theft charges, Khamsin made a shocking discovery.

    Meet the Indigenous designers shaking up Milan Fashion Week

    Sage Paul has championed Indigenous fashion in Canada for more than a decade. The Toronto-based Dene designer and Indigenous Fashion Arts (IFA) executive’s next mission: breaking down barriers in the global industry. This week, Paul has brought six Indigenous designers from across the country to Milan Fashion Week to showcase their work at the highly regarded trade show WHITE Milano (Feb. 24-27).

    “I want our work valued. It’s not a token,” Paul tells The Globe and Mail, while sitting near Toronto’s Harbourfront Centre, where the Indigenous Fashion Arts Festival was held last June.
